I discovered this breed about 7 years ago and I instantly admired these small, lively dogs with very interesting appearance and deep, expressive look.. My first ‘almost’ spitz was a black bitch ; Praline. I called her so because she only weighed 350gr ; I had to feed her from a baby bottle, although the vet’s opinion was that she was too weak, too delicate to survive by herself. But following my heart I continued. It wasn’t easy; I had to wake up every three hours to feed my beloved creature. Eventually I saved her life and Praline stayed with me for good and for bad. During the 16 years of our life together she gave me unforgettable moments; she shared our life for good and for bad and she will always be treasured in my memory. After she had gone, the one that joined us was Vodka – a bitch from the known Belgian kennels. She also has a lot of charm but she is not the same as Praline. I deliberately chose an orange one in order to avoid comparison between them. While visiting a pure-bred dogs show, I met a friend who had been breeding spitz dogs for 17 years. We talked about miniature spitz dogs for a few hours then, coming to the conclusion that this is the only such special breed in the world and that we wouldn’t change it for anything. This is how my adventure with breeding this kind of dogs began. Another dog soon joined us ( Velours, male, also Belgian bred ) and then there were Giotto and Betti. These dogs really make faces in a unique way! They are characterized by great natural elegance, they are found in different colours. I personally have a great sentiment for black spitz dogs, I hope to buy one this colour soon. Every year we go on holiday with all our dogs; there is always a lot of joy and laughter and during walks there always comes the same question – what breed is this ? Because this is the breed that leaves no passer-by indifferent, no matter whether in town or in the country or on holidays ! Some like it very much, others less. Our small dog world lives in perfect harmony with us at home; the dogs have their special door that lets them walk when they want.
